I'm a huge fan of all the unique and clever shops we have in Yakima. The more niche the better. Though I'm not as health-concious as I should be, the wellness and natural foods shops are always fun to visit.

Now, Yakima doesn't have a Whole Foods and, at this point, it doesn't look as likely that we'll ever get one, but we do have a place called Mill Creek Natural Foods and they have some really neat stuff I can't find anywhere else in Yakima.

The three things I visit this place for more often than not are Hop Water, CBD Drinks and chewable ginger. Ginger is a natural anti-nausea and, as a VR gamer, sometimes these VR flying and driving games give my stomach a tumble so chewing on these helps me out.

Hop Water is something I was recently turned on to. It's sparkling water but with hops. Though I do love craft beer as well, this water has that 'body' that beer has which is one of the things I like about beer. A nice alternative and something safe to drink at work.

They also have a nice CBD selection. The drinks are probably most convenient. There are a few spots in Portland (and probably Seattle) that have CBD drinks on the menu. Yakima doesn't have any that I know of so bringing those home in canned form is convenient.

This along with all natural chocolates, vegan-friendly foods and a lot more give plenty of reason to pop into Mill Creek and see for yourself.

Where is Mill Creek?

Mill Creek has a couple of locations in Yakima. There's one on Main Street in Union Gap and the one I visited is at Chalet Place on 56th and Summitview (near Summitview Ave next to Bead Rocks and Candy).
