As it turns out, Washington State is listed as one of the best in the United States.

Washington State ranked at 10th for best state for working dads based on several criteria.

  • 1st – Unemployment Rate for Dads with Kids Younger than 18
  • 5th – % of Physically Active Men
  • 13th – Male Life Expectancy
  • 14th – % of Kids Younger than 18 with Dad Present Living in Poverty
  • 15th – Avg. Length of Work Day (in Hours) for Men
  • 16th – Male Uninsured Rate

    Best and Worst States for Working Dads in America

    First place goes to Massachusetts followed by Connecticut and the other Washington, Washington DC, making the top three.

    Worst states belong to New Mexico followed by Louisiana and Nevada for the worst three states for working dads.

    Though Washington is ranked 10, which is good, hopefully it'll be higher on the list for next year. After all, it was Spokane, Washington, that came up with Father's Day to begin with.
