Johnny Cage is celebrating Take Your Child to Work Day by bringing his daughter, Cassie Cage, to Mortal Kombat X's official roster.

According to IGN, NetherRealm Studios Senior Producer Adam Urbano has revealed in an interview at GDC 2015 that Johnny Cage will be joining the list of playable fighters in Mortal Kombat X. Kung Lao, Johnny Cage, Jax and Kenshi's descendants are all a part of MKX's main roster and its recent story trailer focused on Kung Jin, Cassie Cage, Jacqueline Briggs and Takashi Takeda being Earthrealm's new heroes. With all four fathers and their offspring being a part of MKX's roster, this suggests that the game's story mode could go back and forth between the present (where we left off from the ending of MK9) to its new temporal setting, 25 years in the future with the new generation of heroes. Urbano also mentioned that his favorite Brutality is Johnny Cage's, describing it as quick and brutal.

Urbano also confirmed that Animalities and Babalties were not making a return in Mortal Kombat X. Fans were hopeful that the Animalities, a finishing move that would turn your character into an animal and have them brutally kill your opponent, and Babalities, which would turn your opponent into an infant, would be added to the game. At least we have the combo-filled Brutality endings to satiate our blood thirst.

Mortal Kombat X will launch on April 14 for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox One and Xbox 360.
