These days, almost 60 percent of American households now hire a nanny for their kids. With the recent prevalence of nanny shenanigans in the news (Gavin Rossdale and Gwen Stefani, Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner), parents are beginning to wonder if they should be concerned about who they have brought into their homes.

Scientific studies have shown that married men and women are more likely to cheat on their spouse the more abundant spousal alternatives are available.

Florence Ann Romano, also known as The Windy City Nanny, doesn't think that hiring a homely nanny will necessarily decrease the chances of infidelity, though.
