Pearl Jam to Headline ‘Band Together Washington’ Virtual Benefit
Pearl Jam will headline the 'Band Together Washington' benefit livestream on March 18th by supplying a vintage performance for the event, which will help Washington's struggling musical community, which continues to suffer in the wake of Covid-19.
Although the event is free, viewers are encouraged to donate to help bring back Washington as a thriving source of art and culture. For more information, go here.
- Pearl Jam's latest album, 2020's Gigaton, entered the Billboard 200 albums chart at its peak position at Number Five.
- Gigaton is Pearl Jam’s 11th studio album, and all 11 of those have reached the Top Five on the chart.
- Recently released on vinyl and CD is Pearl Jam's 1992 MTV Unplugged appearance.
- The set was officially released back in October for Record Store Day, featuring seven tracks: "Oceans," "State Of Love And Trust," "Alive," "Black," "Jeremy," "Even Flow," and "Porch."
The show starts at 7:30 p.m. and runs until approximately 9:30 p.m. Keep Music Live Washington is spearheading the event and you can catch their Facebook page here.
The show is hosted by Rachel Flotard and co-hosted by Sir Mix-A-Lot, who as you know likes big butts and he cannot lie, but did you know he also made the grade and is on the list of Washington's Most Famous People A - Z? You can look at that piece here.
More streaming platforms are promised in time to catch the benefit, however an official announcement about that is still pending.
