During the pandemic, I picked up a few hobbies, streaming on twitch, online shopping, and, fishing. Now I only do a couple of these still but fishing is by far one of my favorites.

I have friends who used to take fishing trips out to the Yakima Valley when I was still living on the west side. Now that I'm in Yakima I made it my mission to find some great fishings spots around town. Now I'm gonna share them with you.

Sarg Hubbard Park

Some Yakimites rave about Sarg Hubbard Park when it comes to fishing, especially for the kids. If you're a parent wanting to share your love of fishing this is a great place to go, you're not guaranteed to catch a fish but once stocked for the season (and it has been) it's a great place to fish.

Yakima Sportsman State Park

This park is amazing for camping, taking a little getaway from life. The best part about this place is it's an amazing place to go fishing, not only can ya do your regular trout lines but it's a great place for fly fishing and even a little bit of bass fishing.

Harlan Landing

This park has been called an amazing place to catch fish, but it's also an opportune place if you're someone who loves to fish in a boat. They have some amazing boat launches and trails for you really to escape the day, or go for a brisk walk if you end up empty-handed.

Yakima River Angler

This is the one I've been dying to talk about, my buddy and his family come here every year to do some fishing, the pictures they've shared with me are u, I don't know if there's a more b spot to fish in the valley but this for sure takes the cake, with huge fish and all different kinds of fishing you could ask for it's a great spot to post up. If you don't end up catching anything you at least had a gorgeous day on the water with friends and cold beer.
