It wasn't always a work of art but, at the end of the day, Seahawks fans couldn't have gotten a better late Christmas present. A division title for the first time since the 2016 season.

Seattle and NFC West rival LA Rams slogged to a tie at 6-6 by halftime on Sunday (December 27). The Hawks then hung a couple of touchdowns from the hands of Russell Wilson -- one running and one throwing score to Jacob Hollister -- to seal the victory and the division crown with a 20-9 win -- their fifth in their last six games and 11th of the season. The Hawks not only sealed up first place in the NFC West but also assured themselves of no less than the #3 seed in the NFC playoff picture.

After the game, Seahawks Safety Jamal Adams had a virtual repeat performance of his press conference last week by saying "Dammit, it feels good! It feels great!" as he is embarking on the NFL playoffs for the first time in his four-year career.

The Seahawks still have an outside shot at taking over the #1 spot in the NFC which includes a first-round bye and home field advantage throughout the playoffs but they we need some help. As it currently stands, the Hawks would -- believe it or not - face the same #6 LA Rams in round 1. The #2 New Orleans Saints would host the #7 Tampa bay Buccaneers and the #4 Washington Football Team would host the #5 Chicago Bears. If the higher seeds were all to advance, Seattle would travel to New Orleans and the #1 Green Bay Packers would play W.F.T. at Lambeau Field. The winners of those games would play to go to Super Bowl LV (55) in Tampa, FL on February 7th.

If Seattle wins next Sunday, they would need Green Bat to lose at Chicago and New Orleans to lose or tie at Carolina to leapfrog to the top spot.
