Slipknot parted ways with their longtime percussionist Chris Fehn back in March. The masked band found someone to replace him, but it's refusing to divulge his or her name.

“The position you may or may not be talking about is nobody’s fucking business,” Slipknot's other percussionist, Shawn "Clown" Crahan, told Kerrang! “The proof is in the pudding.”

Slipknot have been cagey about revealing the names of new members. Back in 2014, they replaced drummer Joey Jordison and bassist Donnie Steele with, respectively, Jay Weinberg and Alessandro Venturella, but didn't want to disclose their names. But Venturella couldn't maintain his anonymity because of an identifying tattoo on his hand, and Weinberg was recognized due in part to the time he spent filling in for his father, Max Weinberg, in Bruce Springsteen's E Street Band.

The band is keeping similarly secretive about the reasons why Fehn, who had been a member since 1998, is no longer in the band. He reportedly accused Crahan and singer Corey Taylor of negotiating new business dealings outside of his knowledge, but the group refused to be specific about the details of Fehn's split.

“Chris knows why he is no longer a part of Slipknot," they said in a statement. "We are disappointed that he chose to point fingers and manufacture claims, rather than doing what was necessary to continue to be a part of Slipknot.”

Slipknot are planning to release their next album, We Are Not Your Kind, on Aug. 9, a few weeks into their Knotfest Roadshow tour with Volbeat, Gojira and Behemoth. You can check out all the dates here.
