It's usually April 15 but this month is tax month for Americans.
Because of COVID-19 the Treasury Department and the Internal Revenue Service decided to extend the tax deadline to give special tax filing and payment relief to individuals and businesses. The filing deadline for tax returns has been extended from April 15 to July 15.
The IRS urges taxpayers who are owed a refund to file as quickly as possible electronically at IRS.GOV.
Taxpayers who can't make the July 15 deadline can file a request for an extension to file a return.
