The ‘Tampon Tax’ Bill just Passed in Denver Removing Tax on Feminine Hygiene Products – Could Yakima Do This, Too?
Good news for our friends in Denver, Colorado. Their city council just voted to remove local sales tax on tampons and pads as well as other similar products. That's a 4.3% savings. They still have to pay state tax, but it's a step in the right direction for something needed. Could Yakima do something like this, too?
I ask because saving money is always a good thing and these are items that ladies need. Along these lines, I also don't think they should have a tax on toilet paper or toothpaste.
9news was the one I heard this story from and got me thinking that Yakima should do the same.
C'mon, Yakima city council, make it happen!
