This Yakima Spot Had some Fancy-Shmancy Root Beer Floats
Root Beer Floats are one of those dessert drink options I've always enjoyed but never gave them enough credit when I was younger. They're great and all but would often opt for something else like a milkshake or something. As I got older I seem to appreciate them more and more and when offered I'd often order one just for nostalgia's sake. I saw this spot in town had Root Beer Floats as part of a 'back to school' special for kids but that didn't stop me from ordering one as well.
The place I found these, of all places, was Public House on Tieton.
Public House is a spot I love in town as it's near where I live and love the local tap selection. The food is pretty great, too. Kids are welcome here and when I saw on Facebook they had a special for kids to grab a root beer float and smaller version of their pretzel for only $7 I took my kids there. Naturally, I also had to grab one for myself, along with an additional pulled-pork nachos to share.
These root beer floats were fine. No ice cream, just whipped cream in a fancy glass, but my kids had fun with them.
If this is up your alley, follow them on Facebook. Who knows, maybe they'll bring them back.
