Todd’s Take: Thank You, Yakima!

On Thursday night, I was invited to attend an awards ceremony put on by the Yakima Herald-Republic as part of their Second Annual Readers' Choice Awards.

More than 160 categories were presented and yours truly was voted "Best Radio Personality" by the readers of the publication. The results were published in Sunday's edition of the paper.

I'd like to say a big THANK YOU to those who voted for me, to the Herald, to my wife, Carrie, for putting up with the crazy lifestyle that radio broadcasters live, to my mom and dad -- who always supported me in anything I chose to do -- to all of my mentors who taught me the trade when I had not even graduated from high school yet but already in the biz, and to my first instructor, Randy Beckstead, at Yakima Valley Skills Center (now YV-Tech) for fanning the ember that was burning in me.
