As the Seahawks prepare to play the Packers for a chance to make their fourth NFC Championship Game appearance, we're taking a look at some of their most prominent supporters. The 12's are a force respected by players, coaches, and analysts across the sport. It's always fun to know that some of our favorite celebrities are cheering and making crazy promises to a higher power just like us.

Considering Pearl Jam helped put Seattle on the musical map in the 1990s, you'd think it would be a foregone conclusion that they would all be Seahawks fans. However, howling Eddie Vedder is actually a Chicago sports fan, notably the Cubs. This makes Mike McCready the band's champion for the Seahawks.

"Bears, Beets, Beast Mode."

Okay, so I altered the quote. But, Rainn Wilson is a known Seahawks fan. He was born at the University of Washington Medical Center and came back to the campus to go to college. He spent his formative years in Shoreline before his family moved to Illinois. He currently splits his time between Oregon and Los Angeles. The Office star is not related to quarterback Russell Wilson.

"Baby Got Beast Mode" would be a killer song if the rapper ever decided to make a team fight song. The rapper is so devoted to the Seahawks, he actually stopped watching their games for a period because he felt he was bad luck for them. The Seattle-born rapper dedicated a song to the team before they played the Patriots in Super Bowl XLIX.

Will Ferrell - Actor & Comedian

Will Ferrell is a national treasure, and because of his Seahawks fandom, he should also be a local treasure. He has known Coach Pete Carroll since Pete was the coach at USC. I'm sure that has had an influence on his Seahawks fandom. Ferrell and Carroll would do stunts and comedy sketches to motivate USC players.

Making his film debut in Spider-Man 2's "elevator scene", McHale became the leading man for "Community." The actor went to Mercer Island High School before receiving his Master of Fine Arts at the University of Washington.

Jerry Cantrell - Guitarist & Co-Lead Vocalist - Alice in Chains

The legendary guitarist has been a vocal Seahawks fan for years. The high-point in his Seahawks career would most likely be the band's half-time show at the NFC Championship Game when Seattle beat the Green Bay Packers to advance to their second straight Super Bowl. Cantrell has been active on social media about his support of the Seahawks. Alice in Chains ran a fantasy football league for charity in 2019.

Sarah Palin - Politician

While not a celebrity, per se, Sarah Palin has remained in the spotlight since she ran for Vice President in 2008. It's no surprise the former governor of Alaska would be a Seahawks fan since they're geographically the closest NFL team. Palin posted on Twitter her official Seahawkers membership card.

J.K. Rowling - Author

With a net worth of $1 billion, the Harry Potter author could buy the team if she wanted to. Not much is known about her support of the Seahawks except for a tweet announcing she was a fan of the team, and specifically Richard Sherman. I'd be willing to bet she'd root for the Seahawks to beat San Francisco should they make it to next week's NFC Championship Game.

Macklemore - Rapper

Macklemore is a Washington State icon. Having filmed one of his music videos in Spokane, it's no doubt he's one of us. He emphatically celebrated the team's NFC Championship Game victory over San Francisco in January of 2014.

Chris Pratt - Actor

With a lot of star power on this list, it's a big deal to say Chris Pratt is probably the biggest star here. The Jurassic World and Guardians of the Galaxy superstar graduated from Lake Stevens High School in 1997 and is often seen wearing Seahawks gear. One could only hope he gets his new father-in-law, Arnold Schwarzenegger, to attend a few games.
