Tom DeLonge recently posted an Instagram photo revealing that he was taking part in an interview at the request of his former Blink-182 mate Travis Barker, which led fans to question what the pair might be up to. During a recent radio appearance on KROQ's Kevin and Bean morning show, Barker revealed that he's been working on a documentary on his own life, that will include interviews with not only his estranged Blink bandmate but also current bandmate Mark Hoppus.

"He just did a really important interview for my doc," explained Barker. "It's basically the counterpart to my book. So four people were interviewed to create this trailer and it was Mark Hoppus, my dad and Tom DeLonge."

"I haven't really said anything [about the documentary]. It's been in the works and it's by the same people who did Steve Aoki's documentary," reveals Barker. "We kind of started talking to them a while back. You know, it was kind of inspired by the book, but they dig deeper, so it has begun."

Barker says a release date is not confirmed as of yet, but he expects it will arrive "really soon." "It's one thing to read in a book, like, 'OK, this... happened to you.' Or, you know... 'Oh, you were in a plane crash.' But to actually see footage from it, and news clippings, and friends and family talking about it—it's just another level," says Barker of his experience working on the project so far.

Barker was making the appearance on the morning show to promote the upcoming 2018 MusInk festival, which combines music and tattoo culture and is now entering its eleventh year in operation. The event takes place the weekend of March 16-18 at the OC Fair and Events Center in Costa Mesa, Calif., with Blink-182, The Descendents and Lil Yachty set to headline the three nights. Tickets go on sale this Friday (Jan. 26) For additional info, head here. And check out the full interview with Travis Barker in the player above.
