Unique Delicious Treat in Yakima Was Something I Had to Experience

There's a new place for boba in Yakima on south 1st in Union Gap called JayDay Cafe & Boba. I'm always down for more boba places in the Yakima valley so it's very welcome. One of my kids expressed interest in having one and since we were in Union Gap as it was we swung by. Though I wasn't planning on getting anything for myself something else caught my eye on the menu. Something I just had to try.

Custard Cream Filling Pastry

That's what it's called on the menu. No description but none was needed. I mean, it tells the story of what it is I suppose. Sounded fine to me. I ordered one of those along with a boba and energy drink for my two kids.

What I received is what I have in the photo. Four warm puffed-up pancake-like pastries with some sliced strawberries and blueberries. They asked if I wanted a chocolate drizzle but I opted without.

They were nice. Hard to explain completely but they were exactly as they said they were a custard-filled warm pastry. As if you injected a pancake or waffle or something with custard filling. The fresh fruit complimented it greatly.
