The United States Marine Corps has been doing Toys For Tots since 1947, when a USMC Reserve man and woman started making homemade toys for the kids whose families couldn't afford to buy toys. Bill and Juliana Hendricks started something spectacular.

It has since grown into a nationwide charity, helping millions of families around the holiday season. Friday we will be hanging out with the USMC at Suntides Golf Course, 231 Pence Road, to gather up toys for the kiddos.

The Marines will be accepting toys until 2 p.m. Friday, and Suntides is giving all donors a bucket of balls to hit on their golf course. It is going to be so much fun and a great cause! Kelly West will be hanging out with them for an hour, so make sure you stop by!

Please join us or bring a new unwrapped toy to the 94.5 KATS studio and we will get it to the Marines.

Thanks for your help during this hard time for kids. Semper Fi!
