Warrant are warming up for the May 12 release of their new Louder Harder Faster LP with the official video for the title track, debuting today. You can watch it above.

As previously reported, Louder Harder Faster brings the veteran rockers back to active recording duty following the lengthy gap that elapsed after 2011’s Rockaholic. The current Warrant lineup finds original members Erik Turner, Jerry Dixon, Joey Allen and Steven Sweet playing behind singer Robert Mason, and the record sees them working with producer (and Foreigner bassist) Jeff Pilson.

"When we started this project over two years ago, we wanted to bring the listener back to the days of sitting in the living room and cranking up a record from start to finish," says bassist Dixon. "Making full records seems to be a lost art, we hope in some small way that this album helps people find that art again."

Also of interest to fans is the band's recent cover of Merle Haggard's "I Think I'll Just Stay Here and Drink." Recorded as a tie-in with Professional Bull Riders, the song will be available as a compact-disc bonus track. As Dixon told AXS, while their tribute to the country legend might come as a surprise, it felt like a natural fit. "We listened to it and we said 'Yeah, that definitely has a Warrant edge to it,' and so we fired up our gear and recorded it," he recalled. "I think it came out pretty cool."

The band is scheduled to spend the summer on tour behind the new LP, with the next leg set to begin May 6 in Las Vegas and send them throughout the United States until fall. For a complete list of currently announced dates and detailed ticketing information, visit Warrant's official site.
