It's nice to know if you're in Washington state you're already in a decent place to have a baby. That's always a good thing and nice to know in advance.
Taking into consideration of cost, healthcare, baby-friendliness and family-friendliness, Washington state ranked 8th place so it's not bad at all. Within the top 10 is always fine.
Massachusetts came in first place while South Carolina was last.
Washington state is also ranked 3rd in a parental-leave policy score and 4th for the rate of low birth weight.

The top five boy names and top five girl names are listed for each state, as well as the number of babies born in 2018 with that name. Historically common names like Michael only made the top five in three states, while the less common name Harper ranks in the top five for 22 states.
