There are certain foods that take up space in my brain. If I put them into categories, I've realized a lot of them deal with cheese. A few months back, during Restaurant Week, Mom and I wandered over to Wapato and tasted the most incredible dish! It's called the Queso Birrieria tacos and HOLY CRAP they were the bomb!

These tacos blew me away with the juicy and seasoned meat, then you add in melted cheese and it was just TOO much! You get to dip that stuff in the consume the meats cooked in and it's honestly one of the most perfect meals I have ever tasted. As the weather gets cooler this dish would be the PERFECT one to grab when you want to warm up and enjoy some straight-up comfort food.

The spot is JJ's Birrieria and Antojitos located right on the main strip in Wapato. The other day while the hubs and I were driving down 3rd Ave I spotted a new restaurant sign that looked familiar, JJ's Birrieria and Antojitos! I snapped a few pictures while we whizzed by and then, not to get my hopes up too much, called to confirm the news.
