Hundreds of people are expected to gather on Saturday during the annual Central Washington Walk for Life in downtown Yakima. The walk starts at 1:00 pm Saturday at Yakima's Grace of Christ Presbyterian Church, at 9 South 8th Ave. People are encouraged to wear masks because of concerns about COVID-19.

The 49th Annual March for Life happens in Washington D.C. on Friday

Those who are walking are against the Roe v. Wade Supreme Court decision that legalized abortion in the United States.
The 49th Annual March for Life Returns in person to Washington D.C. on Friday. The event was scaled down and held virtually last year during the pandemic. Many on the national side are hoping the Roe v. Wade Supreme Court decision is soon overturned.

The Yakima walk is set to begin at 1:00 pm

The Yakima walk which starts at 1:00 pm Saturday will happen along Yakima Avenue and end at the Millennium Plaza on Third Street.
If you attend the walk you can help others. Those who are involved in the walk are being encouraged to donate disposable diapers at the walk to be distributed to local organizations which help new mothers.
