You Probably Drive Past Yakima’s Best Fish and Chips Every Day

I'm not sure why, but for some reason my wife and I were craving fish and chips. Maybe it was our Doctor Who marathon, I'm not sure. When it came time to where to find some, I knew exactly where to go.

Ahoy Fish & Chips on 9th and Yakima Ave has been a staple for fish and chips for years and years and, for some reason, I keep finding people who have lived in Yakima for years who have, yet, to stop by. I'm here to tell ya, it's the best fish and chips in Yakima.

Not just cod, either. They can do halibut and calamari and shrimp and more. Even a fish burger! Their fries have a special batter on them making them, at the same time, probably be the best french fries in town. And that's coming from me, someone who doesn't like french fries. But they're awesome here.

If seafood isn't your thing they can also do cheeseburgers and bacon burgers and more. After all, this location used to a burger joint way back in the day.

I'm telling you, if you haven't had the chance to stop by, make it a point sometime in the near future. You can dine in or take it to go. It's one of those places that when you visit, you wonder why you don't visit more often.
