Vegas baby! It’s time to double-down on hard rock, as the Rock Vegas festival will take over Sin City for two days on Sept. 28 and 29 at Las Vegas’ Mandalay Bay Resort. The event will feature such topline acts as Rob Zombie, Shinedown, Marilyn Manson and Godsmack.
Rob Zombie has a pretty solid grasp on the music industry at this point, having started with White Zombie and now spending over a decade as a solo artist, so he speaks from a place of knowledge and young rockers would be wise to be taking notes.
The ‘Metal Masters’ clinics have been a big success, and earlier this year they branched out to Los Angeles with a performance at the Key Club featuring Down‘s Philip Anselmo, Slayer‘s Kerry King and Dave Lombardo, and Anthrax‘s Charlie Benante and Frank Bello along with Adrenaline Mob’s Mike Portnoy, Megadeth’s David Ellefson and Chris Broderick and Black Sabbath’s Geezer Butler turning up to lend a hand.

The shocking news has sent shockwaves through the metal world, and a number of the bands on this year’s Mayhem Tour offered their thoughts on the incident when Loudwire caught up with them at the trek’s kickoff show this past weekend.
As the metal world continues to deal with the shocking news of Lamb of God singer Randy Blythe being jailed earlier this week on suspicion of manslaughter involving a fan death in Prague, there’s now slow motion video footage that’s surfaced of the alleged 2010 incident.
For those of you who didn’t make it to Atlantic City, Metallica has been recapping the events for their fans. Earlier this week, they posted a video with highlights of Day 1, and now comes the video (posted below) for Day 2.
