Thursday, 94.5 KATS, along with Legends Casino and the City of Yakima kicked off the first of many fun family nights on 4th Street at Downtown Summer Nights.

Yakima Police estimated the crowd to be between 800 and 900 strong, despite that the rain had come earlier in the day.

Part of the reason so many braved the potential for inclimate weather was to see one of the Northwest's all-time great working bands, "Too Slim and the Taildraggers."

Earlier this morning, I had the distinct pleasure and honor of being the first radio disc jockey to play the new single from Australian guitar ninja Blake Noble's forthcoming album "Underdog."
