Sunnyside Community Hospital Buying Yakima Regional Medical & Cardiac Center and Toppenish Community Hospital

Sunnyside Community Hospital & Clinics has signed an agreement to buy Yakima Regional Medical & Cardiac Center and Toppenish Community Hospital from Tennessee-based Community Health Systems Inc. for about $45 million.

The two companies announced the deal in separate news releases Tuesday.

Suitcase Found In Storage Unit In Yakima Is Weird

The Yakima Herald-Republic recently reported that 86-year-old Paul McCulloh had found a mysterious suitcase in the storage unit he had rented for years. The suitcase wasn't his, but it contained a treasure trove of a family's memories -- photos, ashes of a pet dog, books and other mementos.

The Herald posted a photo of the suitcase's contents on their website in hopes that someone would come forward to claim the perplexing suitcase. No one had a clue as to how it wound up McCulloh's storage unit.

Weird as it sounds, I had kind of a similar experience back in the 1980s.
