Camp Hope, Yakima's homeless encampment that was established in 2017, are asking for your donations to help keep those that are already suffering enough a bit more comfortable during this wickedly hot summer.

Yakima's Union Gospel Mission (located at 1300 North First Street) is in desperate need of cash donations to continue to help feed, clothe and shelter the homeless here in town. With the Easter holiday rapidly approaching, the charitable sanctuary sent out a heartfelt plea.

An online petition has been created and is looking to collect 15,000 electronic "signatures" to present to the Washington Interscholastic Athletics Association to allow for more people to attend games, matches and events.

The Yakima Humane Society has sent out an S.O.S. and are in desperate need of dog and cat food and other supplies to help feed and take care of their rescue animals.

Earlier today, the Yakima Valley Pippins Baseball club announced that they now actively trying to secure host families for their 2021 roster of college-aged players.
