As if this election cycle couldn't get any weirder, voters in California will have to decide whether or not to REQUIRE male porn stars to wear condoms. Attempting to ram Proposition 60 (the Condoms In Pornographic Films Initiative) down the throats of voters is the AIDS Healthcare Foundation. According to SFGate.com "it would not only mandate that adult film stars would need to wear condoms in videos shot within the state, it would also allow any private citizen in California to sue productions that disobey the law."

However no one knows for certain how stiff the penalties might be. What if there is a hung jury? I'm all for safe sex but if this law passes the only people screwing anyone will be the attorneys.

As you can imagine there has been a LOT of "polling" that been done and while at first the Yes on 60 folks had the full attention of the voters, support has gone soft with 15% pulling out as we head to the climax of this campaign. Meanwhile the No on 60 folks have 45% support and are looking at a come from behind victory. It might be a stretch but I think they can pull it off! The next few weeks is where the rubber meets the road.
