Week 4 was a little uneven for our local gridiron heroes, but overall there's a lot to be proud of. We'll take a quick dip in the football pool and see how they did as the season reaches its quarter mark.

All good things must come to an end. The Lions didn't allow a single sack in weeks 2 & 3, but the levee broke on week 4. Matthew Stafford was sacked 4 times in a nail-biting loss to the Kansas City Chiefs.

Kellen Moore - Offensive Coordinator - Dallas Cowboys

Born in Prosser

Through 3 weeks, Kellen Moore's offense made Dak Prescott look like an MVP and Ezekiel Elliot look like a first-team All-Pro. It all came crashing down on prime time TV. The Cowboys-Saints matchup that casual fans could get behind, this was not. The Cowboys had 257 yards of total offense. They had nearly that many yards last week in rush yards alone. Granted, it was against the Dolphins. But, still. Elliot averaged less than 2 yards per rush against New Orleans. It was really ugly. The Cowboys got man-handled in time of possession. The one positive was that Dak Prescott was only sacked once all game.

The Raiders started quickly against the Colts and it was enough to get a win. At the end of the day, that's all that really matters. But offensive coordinators are judged by the production of the offense. The Silver and Black kept their turnover numbers down, out-gained the Colts by a slim margin, and won the time of possession battle. Not bad.

Gardner Minshew - Quarterback - Jacksonville Jaguars

WSU

The Mississipi Mustache would probably tell you the best part of his week was getting the comeback win with his first game-winning drive against the Denver Broncos. But, we all know it was meeting Uncle Rico that takes the cake. That's right, actor Jon Gries made the trip to "Sacksonville" to meet Minshew, in character (van included.) Gardner had a shaky start, he was under duress from the Von Miller/Bradley Chubb tandem. He was sacked 5 times and looked pretty shaken up after one of those hits. But, he kept pushing and threw 2 touchdowns in the third quarter. He hasn't thrown an interception since his week 1 debut and set another record with the best passer rating through a quarterback's first four games. His passer rating is 106.9 and he's completed 69% of his passes through 4 weeks. Nice. Nick Foles' grip on that starting job is certainly loosening. Jacksonville is offering a Minshew ticket package that includes a bandana and mustache when fans buy 4 tickets.

Cooper Kupp - Wide Reciever - Los Angeles Rams

Born and raised in Yakima. Drafted out of Eastern Washington University.

Cooper Kupp has returned from an ACL injury with a vengeance. Reports came out that Kupp watched film of his running form while rehabbing from a heartbreaking injury. The result? He's actually faster than when he had two healthy knees. He's been a must-start for fantasy football players, as he's had over 100 receiving yards in each of his past 3 games. He found the endzone yet again, making him the only bright spot in a brutal beating of the Rams at the hands of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. [Author is visibly confused.]
