According to Wikipedia, St Patrick's Day is the day we observe the death of St. Patrick, the patron saint of Ireland. It was turned into an official holiday in the early 17th century to celebrate Christianity coming to Ireland. In fact the whole "St. Patty drove the snakes out of Ireland" was an allegory against the druids back then. Since then, the holiday has become very commercialized, dealing with food, drinks, pinching and the color green.

A lot of people love The Scotsman by Bryan Bowers, and enjoy this song on St. Patrick's Day... Only problem is, technically, a Scotsman is not Irish. In fact, never confuse the two. A fight could happen! So I thought I'd bring you a nice comedy song, that actually deals with the Irish, and St. Patrick's Day. A song by comedian & musician Stephen Lynch called "Down To The Old Pub Instead." Enjoy (below), but keep in mind, it's NSFW (Not Safe For Work)... and NSFR... (Not Safe For Radio) either!

The song is an age old tale. A tale that teaches young men what to do, when that special time of the month comes to their special lady. Not only an Irish song, not only a funny song... but a very educational song as well.
