The annual Luminaria Walk at the Yakima Area Arboretum set for Friday and Saturday, December 9 and 10 from 6:00 pm to 10:00 pm.
Thousands of people can expect a night of quiet relaxation and fun as volunteers and staff line a mile long pathway through the landscape of the Yakima Area Arboretum with over a 1000 candle-lit bags. Parking isn't allowed on grounds of the arboretum so city officials recommend you take the city shuttle bus.

The shuttle busses will be available from 5:30 pm to 10:30 pm

A release from the city of Yakima says;
Yakima Transit will be offering FREE shuttle service from the Kiwanis Park Playfields at 1501 E Maple Street. Yakima Transit shuttles will run from 5:30 pm to 10:30 pm on both December 9th and 10th. Annual Luminaria Walk at the Yakima Area Arboretum
“No vehicle traffic will be allowed on the Arboretum’s grounds,” said Yakima Transit Manager Alvie Maxey.  “By not allowing traffic on the grounds, congestion will be relieved and safety will be improved.”

The walk is lit with candles in bags

The Arboretum’s annual Luminaria Walk features a loop trail through the Arboretum’s landscape. The trail is lit by the light of more than 1,000 candles and landscape is also full of lights.
