The 5 Best ‘Small Cities’ To Live In Washington State!
I love my small town.
Is it the greatest? Of course not.
Is it the greatest to me? Of course, it is!
I was very fortunate to live in one house growing up, in one school district, and in one town during my whole formative years.
So my small town of Naches, Washington, is the greatest! Even now, as an adult, looking back to my adolescence, There is nothing I would have changed.
I still visit the small town several times a month since my dad still lives there. The town has changed, and some areas look unrecognizable now, but that is the case with life.
If you don’t know much about my little town, it was founded in 1909 and is pretty close to the center of Washington state, west of Yakima and “near the eastern foothills of the Cascade Range,” with a population of 1,080 according to Wikipedia.

Washington did get several spots on their annual 'Best Small Cities To Live In' list.
Those cities are Sammamish (which ranked the highest at #46), Issaquah, Bothell, Kirkland, and Mercer Island. The further down the list you go, the worse the rankings.
The Most 'Zen' Cities in Washington & Oregon!
Yakima (since that's my current city), I'm proud to say, is (just like in the 'Evergreen State') pretty much in the middle.
