Brush Fire Burning Out of Control Near Selah

The Cottonwood Fire has blackened nearly 6,000 acres and is growing and threatening area homes.

The fire burning that started Tuesday morning in the Wenas Valley near Sheep Company Road and Old Durr Road. Over 100 firefighters are battling the blaze with support from planes and helicopters. Latest reports say some homes in the area are threatened and people living in the affected area are being evacuated.
