The Carolina Panthers have the best record in the NFL and they're hoping to take the next step toward the Super Bowl this weekend when they square off against the Arizona Cardinals in the NFC Championship Game. One of the keys to their success has been the ability to stay loose and have fun on the football field and off. As one of the leaders in the "dabbing" craze, the team has thrilled some and enraged others with their celebrations. Now comes word that another fun activity for some of the players to stay loose is known as "Creedbombing."

What exactly is "Creedbombing"? According to the Charlotte Observer, some of the players have taken the idea of photobombing and applied it to the delivery of Creed song lyrics at surprise times on the practice field. Two of the key culprits in "Creedbombing" are linebacker Ben Jacobs and tight end Greg Olsen, who started out the game with their athletic performance analyst Brett Nenaber.

"We were just talking about how when we were younger bands like Creed and Nickelback were big," said Jacobs, "We were laughing with the raspy voices and how much we still kind of liked the songs. It just started turning into singing it randomly. You don't even think about it. It's taken on a life of it's own."

According to Jacobs, not only do you have to sing a lyric, like "Hold me now! I'm six feet from the edge and I'm thinking" from "One Last Breath," which he just did Wednesday as he walked onto the practice field, but you also have to make "really deep, direct eye contact" with your subject, much like Scott Stapp did in the band's videos. "If you Creedbomb someone, you've got to look them directly in the eye," says Jacobs. On top of the Creedbombing going on on the practice field, the guys have also taken it to the band's Snapchat account.

Along with "One Last Breath," "With Arms Wide Open" and "Higher" have proved to be favorites amongst the Carolina Panthers "Creedbombing" crew. Jacobs admitted he listened to the band's music as recently as last week.

The Carolina Panthers take the field against the Arizona Cardinals this Sunday at 6:40PM ET on FOX.
