The dates are winding down for Chevelle in 2016, but the band will be back with more shows in 2017. The group just announced a West Coast run to open up the new year in support of The North Corridor album.

The trek gets underway Jan. 13 in San Francisco and will hit markets in California, Idaho, Washington, Oregon, Nevada and New Mexico before wrapping up in Boulder, Colo. on Jan. 26. The band has pulled in Black Map and Dinosaur Pile-Up for support during the run. Tickets for the shows will go on sale this Friday at 10AM local time.

As stated, Chevelle are promoting their latest album, The North Corridor. The single "Joyride (Omen)" recently climbed the charts and the band just issued a follow-up single "Door to Door Cannibals" that is starting to take hold at radio.

Earlier this year, singer Pete Loeffler told us that the live experience had influenced the direction of their new album. "Definitely going heavier was the idea. I had all these riffs that were knocking around inside my head and I really just started there," said the singer. "You know, the guys were on board with that, as well. I think that over the years we just really enjoyed playing the heavy stuff off our albums rather than the lighter side. So that’s really where we went with it." So look for the band working in material from The North Corridor with their well established hits as they hit the road in January. After that run, there's a European tour on the books as well.
