Is Yakima Ready For A ‘Disturbed Shaggy’?

As much as I love my brother, when he hears a song he loves, everyone knows it.

He has bought an entire album for one song, and that is the only song that he will ever listen to on the album.

I might be exaggerating (a little).

When Shaggy released the hit “It Wasn’t Me” in November 2000, that was the only song that played in our house for several weeks.

Luckily for my family, “Angel” was a follow-up single and was a welcome change of pace.

I tell you this backstory because when I heard from my friend that Disturbed covered Shaggy, I wasn’t surprised.

Disturbed has covered Genesis, Simon & Garfunkel, Tears For Fears, and U2, so it wasn’t a big surprise.

Then I heard that the song was “It Wasn’t Me.”

Yeah, that wouldn’t happen!

I was right. It didn’t happen, but a very talented YouTuber DID cover the tune about infidelity in the style of Disturbed! And it is incredible!
