We Asked & They Answered
Our audience has believed some weird and funny stuff when they were younger. What started off as an amusing conversation on air turned into a hysterical and frightening topic for our listening and reading audience! Check out the top weird things our audience believed as children below.
What is The Weirdest Thing I Believed As A Child
The on-air conversation that led to this audience question dealt with one of my least favorite insects, the earwig, and how my older brother tricked me.
I asked my brother when I was 7 years old, and my brother (13 years old) told me how the earwig crawls in your ear and eats your brain. A pretty cool and scary concept to a 7-year-old. Fast forward a couple of weeks, and in school, learning about bugs, boy, did I share my new knowledge… and everyone laughed at me.
This is completely false, BUT it is based on an old European myth. Obviously, 35+ years later, this incident in my childhood still bugs me (pun intended).
