It sure is a nice time of year to hang out at your favorite local spot, grab a drink and maybe grab something to eat. Most places have the safe foods to order that you can't typically go wrong -- the burger, the chicken strips, the giant pretzel (which I always recommend anytime you're drinking) but what about something seasonal and only for a limited time? I saw this flatbread with pear and prosciutto and knew we had to have it.

The Pear and Prosciutto Flatbread Pizza

We found ourselves at Public House on Tieton. It's a favorite spot of mine for several reasons. One, mostly, because it's close and convenient. I also saw on their Facebook page that they had a limited batch of craft root beer available. I had to try it as I love craft root beer. Unfortunately, it was such a hit that it sold out before I had the chance to try it for myself but it didn't spoil our evening one bit. I grabbed an IPA of the several they had to choose from and placed an order. Asking if the kitchen was still open (I'm considerate like that), and it was, I glanced at the menu when my wife mentioned they listed this pear and prosciutto flatbread pizza on the sign as we were walking in. Sure, why not. One of those, please.

I didn't exactly know what to expect in something like this. Pears on a pizza? I mean, I've heard more weird items on pizzas and down to try anything. Prosciutto is always great and combine both with feta, the balsamic drizzle and other stuff like arugula or something, I didn't quite remember what all was included in this. Whatever it was it worked out great. It was a flavor explosion but subtle enough to make you want another bite. Not sure how long this is on the menu but might be worth popping into Public House on Tieton to check it out for yourself.

LOOK: Best Beers From Every State

To find the best beer in each state and Washington D.C., Stacker analyzed January 2020 data from BeerAdvocate, a website that gathers user scores for beer in real-time. BeerAdvocate makes its determinations by compiling consumer ratings for all 50 states and Washington D.C. and applying a weighted rank to each. The weighted rank pulls the beer toward the list's average based on the number of ratings it has and aims to allow lesser-known beers to increase in rank. Only beers with at least 10 rankings to be considered; we took it a step further to only include beers with at least 100 user rankings in our gallery. Keep reading to find out what the best beer is in each of the 50 states and Washington D.C.
