It’s Roots and Vines and It’s Back in Yakima on Saturday!
Downtown Yakima will be full of music and fun on Saturday during the Yakima Roots & Vines Festival on Historic North Front Street. Like other festivals the Roots & Vines Festival was cancelled during the COVID-19 pandemic and hasn't happened downtown since 2019. But officials with the Downtown Association of Yakima say it's back this year bigger and better than ever calling it Yakima's premier party!
Get ready because all the music starts early Saturday afternoon
The fun and music starts at 4:00 pm and runs until 10:00 pm.
The release says "Yakima favorite the Dusty 45s headline a potent and diverse lineup that also includes Bart Budwig, Hardwood Heart, and Lowest Pair. The nationally renowned bands will provide 6 hours of foot stomping music while folks enjoy a variety of locally produced beverages, ranging from beers to wine to moonshine, whiskey, and bourbons. Local food vendors and restaurants on North Front Street will be on hand to provide delicious food options. Taking place in the heart of Downtown Yakima and nestled amongst some of the city’s most historic buildings, Roots & Vines provides the perfect atmosphere for a summer party."
If you attend you're helping to revitalize downtown Yakima
Downtown officials say the event isn't just a top-notch music and beverage festival, but it's also a big fundraiser for the Downtown Association. They say the funds go towards revitalizing the downtown area and preserving its unique history along with funding events.
