GAS PRICES DROP LIKE A ROCK: 7.2 Cents Per Gallon Decrease in Yakima!

After no change in the price of gas in Yakima last week prices this week are down 7.2 cents per gallon selling for an average of $3.87 per gallon, according to GasBuddy's survey of 91 stations in Yakima.

GAS PRICES TRENDING DOWN

Prices in Yakima are 17.1 cents per gallon lower than a month ago and stand 73.2 cents per gallon lower than a year ago. The Washington State average is sitting at $4.29 a gallon unchanged from last week.

If you're looking for the cheapest gas you'll find that at Wheelers Kountry Korner in Wapato. It's $3.59 a gallon at the Ahtanum Fuel Stop in Union Gap. It's $3.63 a gallon a the Costco in Union Gap. GasBuddy officials say the national average price of gasoline is unchanged  in the last week, averaging $3.46 per gallon today.

THE PRICES ARE UP ON THE NATIONAL SIDE

The national average is up 3.7 cents per gallon from a month ago and stands 5.5 cents per gallon lower than a year ago, according to GasBuddy data compiled from more than 11 million weekly price reports covering over 150,000 gas stations across the country.
Patrick De Haan, head of petroleum analysis at GasBuddy says "while it looks like this recent rise could be restrained for now, Hurricane Beryl is a stark reminder that hurricane season could play a role in prices in the weeks ahead."
