Be a Voice for Valor: Cast Your Vote for Kittitas County Search and Rescue
"Real heroes don't wear capes. Real superheroes wear uniforms and badges and stethoscopes! Real superheroes are members of our military, law enforcement, and first responders. Pretend superheroes wear capes!"
This quote is from Dean Cain, who we remember portraying Clark Kent/Superman in the TV series Lois and Clark. How true that piece of wisdom is. We here at 1280 KIT had the opportunity to chat with one of those real superheroes.
His name is Dave Douglas; he is one of the volunteers of the Kittitas County Search and Rescue. Dave shared with us the news about a special nomination that was bestowed upon them. They are finalist in the 2024 "Defender Service Awards" in the Search and Rescue category.
The KCSR has been very important to Central Washington and Washington state. They have teamed up with Yakima County Search and Rescue and various other counties in search and rescue operations.
