
Two Arrested in Connection to Burglary Operation in Yakima County
Yakima Authorities have arrested two people in connection to what police say was a large burglary ring involving more than a dozen burglaries around Yakima County.
SEARCH WARRANTS SERVED
Deputies along with the Yakima Police Department Proact unit, the Pacific Northwest Violent Offender’s Task Force, The LEAD Task Force, the Department of Fish and Wildlife, and YCSO served search warrants at multiple locations to find the stolen items. The locations were a storage unit facility near 16th Avenue and W. Washington Avenue and a residence in the 1200 block of E. Spruce Street.
POLICE SAY THE SUSPECT BURGLARIZED THE WHITE PASS SKI AREA
According to a news release from the Yakima County Sheriff's Office during the searches they found stolen gun safe, 21 firearms, a large amount of processed marijuana, several motorcycles, two stolen four wheelers, stolen lawn equipment including a brush hog and two riding mowers, several thousands of dollars in tools, four vehicles, and hundreds more items of value that are still believed to be stolen from around Yakima County. Deputies say they also recovered stolen fire equipment believed to be taken from Mason County. They say they've linked more than 15 burglary and theft cases to the ring.

LOTS OF LOCAL VICTIMS AND THERE MAY BE MORE
Authorities say there are more victims that may not be aware that items are missing, specifically from the White and Chinook pass area. Deputies are encouraging people who believe they may have been victims of these burglaries to contact Deputies Cagle or Wilkinson at 509-574-2500 ext. 0 to schedule a time to come view the property and identify items.
They say one of the two adults arrested has been convicted of more than 15 different felonies. The investigation continues today.
