This $15 Beetlejuice Drink in Yakima is Worth It, According to the Expert

Oh... kids, and how well they have it now.

Growing up in Yakima we had coffee stands and kids who loved coffee could get coffee. Many parents discouraged kids from drinking coffee, mostly because they don't think the bitter coffee won't take good to them, but some would tolerate it enough just for that morning caffeine hit to wake them up for school so early in the morning.

And I don't blame them, I still think school happens too early. There's no good reason for school to start so early, but I digress.

Even when coffee stands were starting to pop up in Yakima more and more in the early '90s, many would have alternatives like Italian sodas which were just craft sodas without caffeine.

So most of us kids just opted for sodas high in caffeine like Mountain Dew.

Then came Red Bull in 1997 and the world of energy drinks exploded from there.

And now, more recent than ever, these coffee stands have adapted the use of making mixed, flavored drinks using Red Bull or other energy drinks as the coffee alternative.

Sometimes if I wake up early enough I'll drop my kid off at school.

And, sometimes, as a special treat, we'll go through a nearby drink stand so they can grab some fancy energy drink.

C & S Coffeehouse on 40th by Ike is a popular one and we'll hit it up every so often.

My kid follows them on Instagram and saw they had a Beetlejuice drink they were curious to try.

I do love Beetlejuice so it had to be fun.

These drinks run at a premium. Though most of the drinks they order cost around $8-$10 depending on what it is, this one came out to $15 after tax.

It looked visually pleasing, though. I'm not sure the flavor but this had glitter along with the purple coloring, colorful cream on top and gummy snakes. I love the idea of the snakes on this.

Not sure how long this will last but next time you're going through C & S Coffeehouse and feeling extra fancy, order the Beetlejuice. My kid says you won't be disappointed.
