More often than not, when we hear about all the best things about Washington State, so many times these national lists just focus on the western side of the Cascade Mountain Range. Oh, there's plenty of greatness on the westside including Mt. Rainier, the Olympic peninsula, our great coastline attractions, the natural hot springs, and so many more. I'm not discrediting those.

When you look solely at landmass, Western Washington has 24.7k square miles while Eastern Washington has almost twice that as 46.6k square miles. Certainly we have some great stuff on the east side. And that, we do.

Granted most of the population is on the west side of the state (over 6 million residents in Western Washington vs. over 1 million in Eastern Washington) but that just means more room for natural beauty, right? That's the way I look at it.

What are some hidden gems in Eastern Washington?

Asking the good people of Reddit (they always have a brutally honest answer) here are a few they pointed out.
