Who is Joel McHale & His Ties To Washington?

Joel is a comedian, actor and television host. Born in Rome, Italy but he grew up right here in Washington state on Mercer Island. He graduated from the University of Washington with a bachelor’s degree in history.

Joel cut his comedy teeth with sketch and improv comedy in Seattle, which helped him receive a Master of Fine Arts degree from the Professional Actors Training Program through the University of Washington.

Most will recognize him from his hosting duties on E!’s The Soup or his role as Jeff Winger on NBC’s Community! But after Friday, October 4th, he’ll be your new favorite comic!
