Following the unexpected death of rapper Juice Wrld on Sunday (Dec. 8), many rock musicians are offering kind words and tributes to the performer behind rock-aligned hits such as last year's "Lucid Dreams."

Juice Wrld, just 21 years of age, died after suffering a seizure at Chicago Midway International Airport on Sunday. The rapper, who was born in the Windy City, arrived on a flight from Los Angeles earlier that morning.

"I can't think of another artist [whose] music has inspired me as much as Juice Wrld in the last decade," Good Charlotte guitarist Billy Martin writes. The musician joined fellow rockers, including Ronnie Radke, Jared Leto, Travis Barkerย and Matt Skiba, in paying their respects. See them all down toward the bottom of this post.

"My heart goes out to the underground rap scene โ€” all the emo rappers," From First to Last member Travis Richter shares. "I know y'all are [feeling] this today, just remember that even when things are unfair or confusing that everything is still somehow in [its] right place... RIP."

Richter refers to Juice Wrld's place among a pantheon of recent rappers informed by indie rock and emo music from the past. In an interview with MTV last year, Juice Wrld expressed his appreciation for the band Fall Out Boy and their 2005 albumย From Under the Cork Tree.
