As the official start of Summer is just a little less than two weeks away (June 21), kids are getting out of school for the year and the cries of, "I'm bored!" and "There's nothing to do!" won't be far behind.

Enter Nob Hill Bowling Center who are doing all of us parents with young ones a solid by offering a summer of FREE bowling for kids ages 2 -15!

The program has already started as of June 1st but will continue through August 22nd and Nob Hill Bowl & Casino located at 3807 West Nob Hill Boulevard in Yakima.

Registering your kid looks to be pretty simple. Click the link below and fill out some pretty basic information about yourself and the children you wish to have participate. If you choose to include your youngster's birthdate, you can also be eligible for some other goodies when their special day rolls around!

Nob Hill Bowling Center is offering TWO (2) FREE games each day in conjunction with the swell folks at KidsBowlFree.com.
There's not much else to it but there are a couple of caveats to be aware of. From the website:
"All participants must wear bowling shoes - rental shoes available. Not good for use with daycare outings, camps, business or club outings, or birthday party celebrations.

Purchased Family Passes are valid for use only during posted Kids Bowl Free times and when bowling with a Kids Bowl Free child from your family."

The program runs every day (except Saturdays) at the following times:

MONDAY: 2:00pm — 5:00pm

TUESDAY: 2:00pm — 8:00pm
WEDNESDAY: 2:00pm — 5:00pm
THURSDAY: 2:00pm — 8:00pm
FRIDAY: 2:00pm — 5:00pm
SATURDAY: Not Available
SUNDAY: 6:00pm — 9:00pm

While there are TONS of other fun things for kids to do over the summer in the Yakima Valley -- like swimming at Lions or Franklin Pools, golfing at Fisher Park, playing Frisbee golf at Randall Park, etc. -- free bowling can now be added to the list to help combat the "There's nothing to do!" chants. Plus it's air conditioned, too!

Here now, some other ideas for Summer fun for the youngsters.
