In the small town of Moxee (pop. 3,308), just east of Yakima, the legend of the fireworks displays by her citizens cannot be overstated. What with COVID-19 restrictions shuttering community displays this year, Moxee was one of the only havens in Central Washington for those that wanted to revel on Independence Day 2020.

So many folks flocked into city that, by curfew (11:00 p.m.), there was traffic backed all the way up highway 24 from I-82.
