Pot is now legal in the state of Oregon, but that doesn't mean you can't get fired if you test positive for it. That is exactly what happened to Cyd Maurer, 25, a University of Oregon graduate. She got into a small accident on her way to an assignment for her television station, Eugene's KEZI, on May 22. Corporate policy dictates that employees undergo mandatory drug tests if they get into accidents.

Maurer tested positive for marijuana, and KEZI fired her. She told them that she smoked it a week before on a recreational basis.

Now Maurer is becoming a marijuana activist, and she is right on all levels. Marijuana is harmless in comparison to alcohol and she makes that point in her video.

What do you think? Should Maurer have been fired for testing positive for pot?
