Job applicants often have to find creative ways to help their cause. It works the opposite way in the world of high-tech business.

San Francisco-based start-up company Hipster has rolled out an unusual promotion to hire that special someone to take the firm to the next level. It's offering $10,000 and a year's supply of Pabst Blue Ribbon to the lucky soul who it adds to the payroll.

But why stop there? Hipster, which allowed people to ask questions and respond in their region using the Internet and cell phones, will also give the person a bike, a pair of oversized glasses, skinny jeans, a bowtie, mustache-grooming services and a pair of boots. Clearly, the company is putting the "hip" in Hipster.

Hipster co-founder Doug Ludlow explained the unorthodox gimmick by saying, "As you know, recruiting is insanely competitive right now, so we wanted to do something that would break through the noise, and get the attention of the people we're trying to reach."

So far, more than 200 people have applied, coming from all different areas of expertise.
