Popcorn Chicken w/ Pop Rocks is a Real Food Item You Can Order at the Central Washington State Fair

We had a sampling of a little of everything at a media event at the Central Washington State Fairground. Everything was fantastic from the chips to the fries to the funnel cakes and bacon-wrapped chicken -- it was all excellent. They had a few unique items as well. One stood out to me as the one to look out for. Something I never pictured but when I was presented with it I knew I had to at least try it.

Beyond the BBQ and the elephant ears and more there are some fun 'fair food' items that you won't find anywhere else. Pock Rock Chicken. It's popcorn chicken sprinkled with pop rocks.

Yes, Pop Rocks.

I thought it was unique enough at first but when I tried one it was more than just popcorn chicken sprinkled with pop rocks. There was another ingredient that I couldn't place my finger on. Maybe it was honey? I'm not sure but the popcorn chicken was a little sweeter than traditional popcorn chicken. When you add the fun of pop rocks to this it made it a very fun experience.

When you're at the Central Washington State Fair this year, look out for these. They're pretty amazing.
