The Yakima Valley Museum (YVM) has recently been accredited by the American Alliance of Museums, the highest national recognition afforded the nation’s museums. Consider it the "Good-House-Keeping-Seal" of approval for benefactors, governments, outside agencies, and the museum-going public.

We are delighted to be re-accredited. This is a signal honor and one that the community can be proud of. The museum’s Trustees and I are certainly immensely proud of what we have accomplished together, and we are especially grateful for the dedication and hard work of our remarkable staff.... Being granted accreditation once more is an affirmation of all that we are doing.
Of the nation’s estimated 33,000 museums, 1095 are currently accredited. Yakima Valley Museum is one of only 19 museums accredited in Washington.

And you can go to ours from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM Tuesday through Saturday, at 2105 Tieton Drive in Yakima.
General Admission to the museum is $8.00 for adults, $6.00 for students and seniors, $5.00 for children ages 6-18, and $18.00 for a family (2 adults and dependent children 18 and under). Members are free.
The primary purpose of the museum is to help people enjoy, understand, and use the visual arts of our time,
